This group began by covering explanations of two or three  types of clues and how to solve them in each session followed by some exercises for participants to try for themselves. This was followed by the answers and explaining how they were arrived at.  Each session was accompanied by a handout with an explanation of the solving methods/clue types covered, and the exercises.

The group is now working on crosswords collaboratively but is also suitable for those who may have done cryptic crosswords in the past but need some help getting started again. Please make sure to contact the convenor before coming along as you may need to have looked at some resources in advance.

Some members of Cardiff u3a who have cryptic crossword experience will be there to help.
