Online Fibromyalgia Sessions by Arthritis UK
Join us for two online information sessions delivered by Francesca Fulthorpe, Advanced Pain Management Practitioner within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Session 1: September 10th, 12pm-1pm
What is fibromyalgia
How does the pain system work and how does fibromyalgia change things. What do we think creates it? How is it diagnosed? What should you expect from an assessment? What tests should be done to check for other conditions.
Session 2: October 15th, 12pm -1pm
Living with fibromyalgia:
What are the recommended management strategies and what are their benefits/risks/limitations. This would include physical activity, medication, psychological therapies and lifestyle change.

Researcher: Kate McKeown, Counselling Psychologist in Training, University of South Wales
I will need participants to show interest within the next couple of weeks and be able to complete the interview by the end of June at the latest due to university deadlines. I’m happy to chat with people if they have any questions or hesitations.
